Dean's List
The Division of General Studies honors all of its students whose grade-point average for that semester ranks in the upper 20 percent of DGS students. The minimum grade-point average establishing eligibility for the Division of General Studies in 2007-2008 is 3.62.
Other eligibility criteria include:
•
Completion of at least 14 hours of course work in which traditional letter grades are earned. This excludes the following:
- Courses graded credit/no credit
- Courses graded satisfactory/unsatisfactory
- Test-based credit that is graded pass/fail
- Any course work completed through study abroad
• No consideration is given until final traditional grades are in for courses designated "I" and "DFR."
Dean's List recognition is noted on the official University of Illinois transcript and is posted each semester on the University of Illinois News Bureau website.
If you believe you should receive this honor as a result of a grade change or a grade received more than a month after the end of the semester, notify Chris Armstrong of the DGS Honors Program to ensure that corrective action will be taken.
