CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Fifth Story Gallery @ the Campus Center for Advising & Academic Services is currently seeking works in any media for the fall of 2008. Work selected will be displayed September 22 - December 10.

This call for submissions is open to all undergraduate students at the University of Illinois , regardless of major or prior exhibition experience. Fifth Story Gallery , in the lobby of CCAAS and the Division of General Studies, is a heavily trafficked area that serves as the academic home for nearly 4,000 undergrads.

Artists whose work is accepted will be responsible for hanging and removing the work. Fifth Story Gallery will provide labels for each work as well as posted biographies of each artist. All accepted works will be displayed on our online gallery.

Submissions should include the following:
•  Slides, CDs, or photographic images of your work
•  The work's medium (painting, photograph, sculpture, etc.)
•  An artist's statement (250 words or less)
•  A very short bio (one to two sentences is fine) that says who you are, what year you are, and what    program you're in

The deadline for submissions is Friday, September 5 at noon. Decisions will be finalized within several days of the deadline.
