2007 -- 2008 Short Project Teams

Short Project #1 Sept. 14 -- Oct. 9
Majors & Minors Fair Organizational Team
Under the guidance of Zelda Gardner, academic advisor at DGS, this team conceived and implemented strategies for promoting the fair, disseminating useful information at the fair, and improving the overall organization and staffing of the event.


Short Project #2 Oct. 3 -- Dec. 3
DGSociety Blitz
Working with Sarah Watson, academic advisor at DGS, this group is charged with making the recently renamed and revamped DGSociety a household (or dorm-room) name around campus. Members of this team will evaluate various methods of operating a successful publicity campaign, including addressing questions of audience and anticipated outcomes; they will use these evaluations to launch a late-semester publicity blitz.


Miscellaneous Feats and Contributions

During the fall 2007 semester, DGSociety members have attended official division events and ceremonies, served as student ambassadors to propsective students/parents at Orange and Blue Days, led sessions for students in LAS Learning Communities, offered up their experiences to members of the press, and more.
